What truck?

I'm thinking about replacing my faithful but unfaithful 1996 K1500 6.5 diesel, AND my I 2016 Subaru Legacy. I have a medical issue because I'm very, very tall that makes driving the car painful, will need to be sold, traded or modified.

The truck needs lots of work all the time, and the truck's capability is hindered by things like needing almost a grand in basic maintenance to start in the cold, tires, and the like. Payment on the car hides money from the truck. Even with adequate funding, truck is potentially not reliable enough to be only vehicle.

Drive 350 miles a week, 2 hours per day on very rough, windy country roads to commute. Ride, economy, driving experience important. Love performance. Truck rides pretty terrible but seems to make it while being used to commute and not shake itself apart completely.

Heat with wood only, going out in the mud/woods hauling wood and skidding logs. Have a farm/haul hay, feed animals. I use things like, high bed payload, e-rated tires, locker/limited slip, tow hooks, offroad tires, 4 wheel drive, towing trailers. A 2500 or a heavy 1500 is ideal.

I am very interested in a 14' up Ram pickup with the 5 link rear suspension for ride, but I pretty much need a 2500 as Ram doesn't offer a HD 1500.

Trucks like a Nissan Titan (higher payload for a 1500) a 1500HD Chevy.

Refuse to drive a modern Ford.

Diesel options are nice but usually out of price range, I do drive enough to justify fuel savings in a light duty application but don't work it enough to justify an HD Diesel.

Theres also the option of selling the car and getting a beater truck or car, and going back and forth fixing it and my truck, but I literally work on my truck, my machinery, or other junk every single day and it gets kind of old.
