SM420, 465, TH400?
Don't suppose the NV4500 was sold with the 6.2L? (I know it was for the 6.5)
Thx,
Kerry

What gears and tire size are you running in you c30?cougarjohn said:I have the four speed manual in my 1986 C30 dually. The 4 speeds includes the granny gear. I gross out at 10,000 lbs. with my high and heavy Bigfoot camper. My mileage is usually 13-14 MPG at 55-60 MPH.

Mine has a "noise" in it that disappears when you press the clutch in. I can't really hear it when it is in gear, but that may just be because of other noises going on. It is most noticeable in neutral. I was told by one person that it was a bearing going bad, and then was told by another that it was the type of flywheel in the trans (dual mass, maybe?) and that all those trans make that noise and it was normal.BIGBLOCKBILL said:I've had one and a friend of mine had two. All three failed(mainshaft bearings). All three were in lifted trucks with larger tires and built 350's. They will probably be fine behind a diesel as long as it wasn't abused.
