Torsion Bar adjustment info

Well just got back from the dealer today after my ride was in for a wheel alignment. I raised the front 1 1/4" inches last night so thats why I had it aligned.

The technician said that he could not fully correct the alignment on the right side because it was adjusted as much as he could. Maxed out I guess ( the alignment, not the torsion bar). So my point is that when you decide to raise the front of your truck by the torsion bars get it done at the dealer so they can raise it as much as possible without going past the factory limits of what can be corrected with a wheel alignment.

All trucks come from the factory set up a little different then the next. So alignment would be different from one side to the next. So while you may be able to raise one side 2 inches you might only be able to raise the other 1.5 inches.

Just a little info I thought I would pass on.

First off make sure that they took the little plastic blocks out of the slots at the top of the upper arm where it attaches to the frame.

I had mine "aligned" at sears and those F*&kers didn't even take out the factory blocks.

I remember that while aligning my wheels on a 4 way rack there was one measurement that I couldn't get right.. don't remember what it was, but the tech at the on post garage said that that was the least important adjustment out of all of them, so I took his word for it.. I was at the max limits as well and I've raised my TB's to level the truck.
