I have them with the 4" deavers and they work great. makes the rear end feel wayyy better than stock. I have airbags as well and keep no air in them. I would recommend them to all. well worth the money.

With respect to Sulastic I have been getting a ton of PM's and emails about this subject.

That email from Sulastic is not a good theory. I talked to Sulastic and the engineer and I swapped info and I feel they were too fast in responding with that statement. Shocks control the suspension movement. They don't hold load so that doesn't make sense in my book. It would be like saying you should use 1500 springs on a 2500 because you have Bilsteins. Bilstein shocks have been the number one shock upgrade for GM owners to project a better ride, and that in itself has been proven and many members can testify to that. So compensating for a Bilstein with a 1500 shackle doesn't make sense. In theory, dropping to a 1500 shackle would decrease your load capacity.

Sulastic shackles have been a GREAT suspension upgrade and I am glad we have become a dealer for them. All the trucks we have done the Sulastics on have Bilsteins paired with the correct shackle per truck - all has been great.

Could you please pm me a price inclusive of tax and shipping for a complete Sulastic/Bilstein combo for my 2006 GMC 2500HD 4x4 Crew ?!?

Thanks

How about towing heavy with the Sulastics and no air bags at stock ride height, are the shackles holding up?

Which bilstein shock works best with the sulastic springs? I know its in the 5100 series but which one is recommended? Is it the same one that would otherwise be used without the sulastic springs? Is there any improvement, or is there any point in changing to bilsteins from stock shocks in the rear with the sulastic springs? Nick what you think?

Best is to give Nick a call and he can get you all set up :D

Well that's where getting the right shackle kit for your truck comes in. 2500HD then order the 2500HD shackle and all is fine. If you are towing a large trailer and alot of weight air bags are highly recommend.

I have a ton of part numbers and spec's that has taken me a very long time to obtain. So I have a thread floating out there that was a sticky that had a ton of info on it but you need to read threw it. Other wise if you are looking for shocks best thing is to just call in if you are looking to place a order because I don't give out part numbers over the board anymore. Sorry.

Two weeks ago NorCal Trucks installed the Sulastic Shackels. I wanted to drive it a few hundred miles and before the assessment.

To clarify, the truck is still a truck. I can't say it's a significant improvement but enough to reduce that gut wrenching harshness from the rear and the rapid bunny humps. Much softer, enough to take the edge off which is what I was looking for especially when the gas tank was empty. Wish I would of done this long time ago and well worth the investment.

I just got the Sulastic Shackels put on yesterday. And let me tell you what huge difference to the now what stiff bounce in the rear. Soon as I drove away from Nick's shop and went over the speed bumps. WOW. I actually feel like I am driving a car. No more going over bumps, dips and have the rear end feel like it just hopped side ways on you.

All my mods include Cognito leveling kit, HD tie-rods, pitman and idler arm, 2in. block in the rear, Bilstein shocks and now the Sulastic Shackels.

I would definitely reccomend these products if your looking for a better quailty ride and smoothness to your truck. Major difference.

rydnhi4x4 do u have any new pictures of ur truck running ur new stance.

I just added some new pics to the garage. For some dang reason this computer won't let me post them in the thread so your gonna have to check out my garage.
If you need something else just ask.

Nope, he will wait till I get back to drive my truck to get the feel for them. But I am sure he will eventually.

Thank you Nick for the Bilsteins that seem to be perfectly valved for my stock setup along with the sulastics that got installed today together and WOW, what a difference !!! Not my Lexus, by absolutely makes me happy about driving the truck again and I know the wife & kids are going to appreciate it as well on our next road trip... ;)

................. looks like ill probably be getting me a set of these soon .................

nick, its good to see ya over there at glamisdunes too

Hmmm ... by now, Nick, you must be Sulastic's numero-uno Platinum dealer ~!!!
):h

NorCal Nick installed the Sulastics for me last week. They eliminate that immediate spring-to-frame harshness induced at every bump. They also eliminate the annoying rear end whip-vibration (spring-stutter?) immediately after a bump. The Bilsteins had already tamed it quite a bit, but the Sulastic shackles totally damp it out.

Just back from 300+ miles on NorCal freeways, and I'm totally satisfied with the Sulastics, drop-version.
Still totally satisfied w/Sulastics & Bilsteins.
But I have it sitting almost dead-level right now (F-41.5", R-42.0").
Snugtop, Bedrug and some gear getting added later this week ....

Hey Nick ... prolly 2 Navvy-hrs if I need to remove those drop shackles ????

I have had the Sulastic springs installed for a while now and I was very pleased with the ride improvement. One way I could descibe it is that the rear suspension is similiar to the front now when going over bumps. It is much smoother as opposed to the harsh jar that was there before. They are made much heavier than the stock shackles also. I would recommend them if you are looking for a smoother more "car-like" ride from your pickup. :) Thanks to Nick for a great product.

Do these really help with the dreaded 55 mph shake. I have it bad!
