My dads truck was stolen last night and we have no clue where it is. It is a pewter reg. cab 2002 2500hd 4x4 Dmax/Allison with around 100,000 mi.Steel wheels gooseneck ball in bed. The bed side on the right side is scraped on top and half of the bed cap is missing. It had a Garmon GPS unit and turn pike ez pass in it. Any one with info can pm me.It had a new MBRP exhaust installed four days ago.

Might want to get in touch with the Turnpike Commission in case the idiots don't realize the EZ pass is in there and get on the turnpike. Might help track it down or at least give you an idea which way they headed....

X2, is there anyway they can track the Garmen if it is on? If they sell the unit they might be able to track it to the new owner who i am sure will sing like a bird of who stole it in the first place.

Checked with the turnpike but it was to soon to tell so we will check again. We thought about the Garmen but not sure how to go about that process.

You need to get the detective that caught your case on this. They (the Turnpike Commission) know immediately when your tag went through a scanner....

No onstar, My guess is it went to a chop shop and is now parts. We are not the only ones in this area to have trucks stolen. Somebody watches for them around here. I told dad he needs to get a large black German Shephard, put invisible fencing in and let the dog patrol the place at night.

A truck matching the description was seen attempting to steal an ATM from an Exonn station in Somerset PA. The same morning it was stolen. Some body is trying to make the payments on a stolen truck.

With Garmin you register your GPS in case it's ever lost or stolen. I'd give them a call and check into that, they may be able to locate it.
Good luck.

State Police say they think they know who has it, the kids dad is the district attorney in Somerset. His body told on him I think. At least that is the story we got.

he said it was a district attorney's kid so i don't think anything will happen except a slap on the hand i bet

glad to hear you might be closer to getting your truck back hopefully it is still in the condition it left.

Not that it will help you now, but you should consider getting a GPS vehicle tracking unit when you get your new vehicle or if your truck is eventually recovered.

Thyat way if it is stolen you will know exactly where it's at, plus you can set up a perimeter alert so if it moves more than 100 feet you will get a text message.

You can find some great info at: www.comparegpstracking.com.
