Picked them up at a local thrift shop for $20. The 3 GM factory manuals are about 6" thick altogether and from what I've seen so far have a TON of info.:bounce:

A year or so after I purchased my truck a fellow worker offered me his manuals for half what he paid. I guess he got tired of the eccentricities of the 6.5. They have been handy.

So you're going to scan ever page and put them into pdf format for the rest of us to benefit, right? Awesome, thanks :)

Probably not everything but I am willing to check things for people - there's probably 1200 - 1400 pages. They cover gas engine stuff too so several hundred pages are dedicated to that. There is a nice troubleshooting chart that I am going to try and post. There is quite a bit of info that is already readily avaliable on this site.

A couple tidbits I have noticed:

Minimum injector pop pressure is 1700 for new and 1500 for used.

Oil pressure spec is 10 psi at idle.

There are some really comprehensive troubleshooting flow charts for electrical stuff.

They pay for themselves the 1st time you use them. Not many things can do that. I am a addict for the GM manuals. I bought new manuals from Helm publishing[official GM publisher] for my 87 Monte SS , 91 K2500 LD 6.2. and 95 K2500LD. I have since bought used 93, 94 and 97 sets. I remember the new 95 set from Helm was over $150. Most ebay sellers are getting $40 for each book.

I would love to find a set for 94 or 95... I'll trade my 99 set to anyone interested...

Awesome score, paid nearly $175.00 for mine but includes all volumes as well as all the suppliments, updates, TSBs, etc...

Does your driveability manual publication number end with 2? 2 indicates the second (latest revised) edition.

I bought my full set of '95 C/K Service Manuals from helminc several years ago, and have been posting bits and pieces ever since. If you need anything specific, LMK..
For a while, alot of the sites (including DP) wouldnt permit posting of "copyrighted" FSM materials in fear of legal ramifications.. Note that is NOT against the law to share "copyrighted" material as long as it is for "educational purposes" and/or noone is profitting from it.. Although I suppose you could PDF the entire thing, I suggest limiting the publically shared material to no more than is needed to make the point, or achieve the purpose..
Fair use of Copyrighted material

IMHO, my 1995 C/K Truck Driveability, Emissions, And Electrical Diagnosis Manual (GMT/95-CK-2) is worth its weight in gold... To say it "Pays for itself the first time" is an understatement.
Note the diesel (specific) section is the back half of the manual... Takes a bit of getting used to using and navigating GM service manuals, FWIW "diesel" should be noted at the top of the correct (applicable) pages.

FWIW. Im told the '94 manual (EFI driveability specifically) contains numerous technical errors. Even the first edition of the '95s driveability manual was completely replaced with GMT/95-CK-2, the last most updated OBD1 revised edition.
I suspect most changes, revisions, or errors were in the electrical section given the number of additional manual suppliments and updates I have to further complement my own full set (including most TSBs)....

Anyhow, sure you'll get 10X's your moneys worth and then some from them..... enjoy

Heavy - yes my manual ends with a 2. It also has a note that some of the contents replaces parts of the other manuals so I'm guessing it has been updated. They all have an April 1993 date on them though.

There was another manual there for the S/T models. One of my manuals references the S/T manual.

Would the S/T manual have any pertinent info for our C/K series?

S/T may be in reference to the "4-Door Utility, Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon" supplimental manual..

I take it you only got the
-C/K Truck Driveability, Emissions, And Electrical Diagnosis Manual
-C/K Truck Light Duty Truck Unit Repair (LDUR) Manual
-C/K Truck (monster) Service Manual

Note that I also have a C/K Truck Service Manual Update that covered Section 4C- Prop shaft and axles and Section 8A Electrical -Section 8-65 HVAC Air Delivery and Temperature Controls. I dont own 4WD model so I havent studied 4C but 8A-65 contains aprox 20 pages of electrical schematics and related diagnostic charts. Not sure if your manual contains them, are accurate, or forgot to include those parts too.?.?. just a heads up..

S/T are for the S-10 small trucks and blazers.

I do have some manuals downloaded to put in the 6.5 FAQs like I have with the 6.2's.

The problem I find is that GMT400 stuff isn't as available on the net as the squarebody stuff, went through the same thing with sales brochures, can hardly find anything from the 90's.

I am considering picking up a PDF version like Glagulator suggested and uploading the sections you guys need. After a long technical glitch battle, I can upload PDF's upto 100 mb now.

I have spent the last few weeks searching back hundreds of threads for old info to document in the FAQ update, I'm still at it, got more to go through.

Here's where I'm at with the 6.2's. I hope to get the 6.5 as close as possible. If you guys have any info to offer, let me, Freddy or V-tec know.
