Rough Idle when Cold

Have been having trouble with my truck for the past couple weeks. It seems to mainly be when it has sat for a long period or is cold. It idles very rough until it reaches normal operating temps. I have also noticed that if I rev it up past 3k that it seems to steady out some. I was thinking it may have been bad diesel but have since went through a couple tank fulls. I have also replace the fuel filter and the air filter. It seems to be fine while driving so I don't really see the injectors being a problem. I was thinking it maybe the glow plugs. Please HELP!

I would check the main harness to see if it is loose? Mine did the same thing turned out that the big connectors were just a slightest bit loose and would expand then make connection once warm.

This is certainly a possibility, worth looking into for sure.

I've had glow plugs go bad and it only threw a soft code on mine (ie no CEL) so I'd hook up a code reader and see if you have anything stored in there even if your CEL isn't on. If you see any P0671-P0678 then you'll know you've got some bad glow plugs to change. I've got 2 bad ones myself and the truck is a bit rough when cold (usually below freezing) so I just rev it up after starting and it smooths out once it starts to build some heat in the cylinders.

It is not the glow plugs-- they come on a few seconds when first start up-- as soon as the glow plug light goes out-- they are OFF-! They are only there to help start the cold engine.

Check the FICM harness at the FICM bracket. It is held down with a zip tie and the wires can short and cause problems.

Is that harness on the alternator? If not where is it?

Got the Edge Insight installed and the trouble codes are as follows:

P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0303- Fault Cylinder D-Misfire Detected (CYL3)
P0304- Fault Cylinder E-Misfire Detected (CYL4)
P0305- Fault Cylinder F-Misfire Detected (CYL5)
P0306- Fault Cylinder G-Misfire Detected (CYL6)
P0307- Fault Cylinder C-Misfire Detected (CYL7)

Did I resolve the issue with the DIY Injector cleaning?

That sounds alot like the FICM harness at the alternator bracket or ECM wires at the fan shroud rubbing/chaffing.

Clear them and see that happens. Those are probably from the cleaning.
