Ran over rock, put good size dent in transmission oil pan. I drove it about 12 miles home immediately after hitting the rock, and it shifted fine. Shortly after getting home the check engine light came on, and it won't shift up. The dent broke the seal and trans fluid leaked out. I replaced the oil pan, internal filter, spin on filter, and all new Transynd 668 fluid. The internal filter was broken where it got pushed up from the dent in the pan, but I could not see any other components or wiring that looked like they were damaged. I have a cheap code reader which shows "P0752" and "P0752 P" codes.

If I clear the code with engine running(shifter in N or P), I can feel/hear a clunk, so it's definitely changing something mechanically. I then put in R, it does nothing right away and after about 8 seconds, the check engine light comes back on and engages reverse. I can then put in D, and drive forward, but it revs up more than normal to drive forward as if the torque converter isn't locking up like it should. I'll put back in N, clear the code, put back in D, then it takes off like it's supposed to but only for about 8 seconds, then the check engine light comes back on and it goes right back to feeling like the torque converter isn't locking up. No matter the state of the check engine light/active codes, it will not shift up.

Can anyone point me in the right direction based on those symptoms?

Thanks,
Dustin

That code indicates a problem with the Transmission Shift Solenoid "A". Suggests replacement.

Thanks for the suggestions. I spoke to a local shop. The guy said they had a similar situation with a pickup on a construction site. When the internal filter was broken, a small piece of plastic got sucked up and prevented a valve from functioning properly. I'm taking my pickup to them this weekend, and they will have time to get it in the shop this week.
