My 2001, 3500 diesel 6.5 keeps throwing a code every now and then P0236 any Ideas on what maybe the issue... I've been a 7.3 fan for years because the are strong runners but I've always liked my GM gassers so I found a deal on this and other than this issue I love it....It doesn't seem to have he pulling power of the 7.3 and maybe this issue is part of the pulling issue

Power strokes have the reputation for strength , the 6.5 not so much ,although I ,m happy with the low end pulling power of mine.
Code po 236 is a boost code & is quite common . Mine does it an hour or so into a trip from time to time . You could try lubricating the wastegate solenoid port with some wd 40 . Dumping boost or not achieving called for boost definitely affects power of which the 6.5 needs all of it when pulling .
