I'm getting an intermittent "Check Oil Level" message on the DIC. Have checked the oil level several times and all is good, but get the message sometimes, so I assume the level switch is failing.
Is it true that the lower oil pan has to be dropped to replace the oil level switch? It looks to be that there is a keeper on the outside of the oil pan on the driver's side, and that sliding this keeper off would allow the switch to be replaced.
