i am looking for reviews on the 6000k hid kit from vvme.com as i remember they were the talk of the town awhile back and i am looking for something to replace my headlight as the driver side ballast gave up on me so I'm back on regular halogens and I'm not liking it but these kits from vvme are cheaper then a replacement ballast so I'm thinking of going for those but first i would like some reviews of service, light output, longevity etc... also would someone possibly know a shop that can repair ballasts in or around Los Angeles or possibly a place where i send it in?

Thanks for your time and any help is appreciated!:)

I have them in my low beams and fog lights for almost two years. Started getting some rf interference recently but it hoes away after the ballasts heat up. I purchased mine off of ebay, they sell them on there as simonmedia.

Get in touch with hidsource.com. I have had these kits for over 2 years with no problems. No RF interference either.

had the 35w slim balast VVMEs in mine for 6 months with no issues! even put the 55w ones in my polaris rzr and have had no issues with it. I do recommend gettin the relay kit though cause there is a decent amount of voltage drop in the factroy wires and when you go to start your truck with the head lights on you may only get one headlight to light. The relay kit gets rid of it or you could build your own relay kit.

Ive heard lots of bad things from DDM but none really from VVME. btw, i think they are on sale right now too

x2 on the relay. havent had many times where only one comes on without the relay but i would still reccommend it

wow cool, thanks guys 6 replies with noting but good news so we found a winner, so i will most likley get the relay kit and possibly the slim kit since its all such a good price, i havent had any problem with the one light situation but i like the idea of direct current draw straight from the battery. anyhow thanks again guys:Handshake

I have had their 5500k kit on my truck for about two years and have been very happy. Although, this morning I noticed that one of my lights is much more purple than the other. I don't know whether it is the bulb or the ballast going out. Either way, two years isn't bad for an inexpensive aftermarket kit.
