out of curiosity, what takes so long to replace the injectors? are they hard to get to? or is it hard to remove the stuff to get to them?

i ask because im probably getting my first 6.5 tomorrow and will likely end up replacing the injectors soon. i see a lot of talk about 6 hours just to replace them, wondering why...

Drivers side no problem

Passenger side have to deal with the turbo in th way, some takea it off, others just take the heat shield off.

Its not hard to take off, just takes more time.

6+ hours though? seems like it should be a 2 hours or so job. is the procedure for taking off the turbo and shield a long one?

with all the scary talk on this subject ive considered letting a mechanic do it for me. but i prefer to do it myself.

Don't confuse this with working on Gasser spark plugs. YOu have supply lines, return lines, a bunch of line routing and clamps, things that havn't been turned for at least 100,000 miles.
