So I have a 87 m998 with the original 6.2 n/a with about 5000 miles, and I am looking to get some more power out of it. I wanted opinions on to put a turbo with related parts like studs, more fuel, ect. OR swap in a 6.5 turbo with related parts. I will also be re-gearing the diffs for more street friendly use. Money is kinda not an issue, just reliability. D-max/ cummins is not the direction I would like to go. Thanks in advance for all ideas:thumb:

If money is NOT an issue, but reliability IS, why would you limit yourself to a 6.2/6.5??

If money is not an issue look into a P400 6.5 long block. They can be built into a very reliable, stout engine. Heres a link for more info.Leroy Diesel
LD is good to deal with and has a good reputation here.

I found KT Performance has a "kit" that includes a complete 6.5 turbo, accy., 4l80E, trans control module, driveshafts, and misc. for just shy of $11K. The ease of install it what really appeals to me along with the ease of putting back in the old drivetrain to keep it original if I decide to sell it.
F.Y.I. I do have another M998 for sale:whistle:
