Really Where did you get that from?

I thought I would really like it. Maybe I'll get used to it but it looks too much like a toyota or something.

Found it on the web site of the local paper here in Detroit

1500 Z71

:nutkick: Doesn't even look like a full size truck.

All I can say is -:t

meh...its alright. I have to say it IS better than I thought it would be from what we've seen in camo...I dont like how the side looks like a Colorado. Otherwise its alright, I think it would look better with that black lower bumper cover painted the body color, and I think it'd look better with a bug deflector to smooth out the flat square frontal area....I think the RED color makes it look a little stupid too...

then again I hated the GMT-800's when they first came out too, and I hated the first pictures I saw of the new Tahoes...but I love both of them now :confuzeld:

I bet the new Silverado will grow on us...

I found these at GM-Truck.com:

Paulie K from GM-Truck.com did a quickie photochop on the front end on this one and looks much better than the black lower portion.

Looks like crap.

Way too many bulges on the front and rear fenders.

The door frame around the upper part of the window is too fat.

The painted ends of the front bumper look like a add on after thought.

Looks like a 2" tailpipe.

Looks like the hood is open.

Well atleast the rims and tailgate look alright.

DD

.

On edit: Paulie K's version of the front bumper look's much better.

#1. All the more reason to stay with a GMC....:D
#2. The tailpipe DOES look like its 2" big, if that. Not impressed.
#3. Red just dosent do it for these new GM trucks. But thats just my opinion.
#4. Why have running boards at all? It dosent seem to sit more than 2" off the ground anyways.

Why is it, that GM 4 wheel drive trucks are sitting lower and lower every year they redisign? -:t

They're forcing us to stay with a 3/4 and 1 ton just for ground clearance.

The pre 99's sat much higher, or at least it seemed it to me, than the 99's and newer half tons.

Bottom line: I hope the GMC version dosent look like a friggen Canyon.-:t

-:t all i say is im glad i got my 06
it MIGHT look almost 1/4 way decent if it was in a dually 3500 but looks like thay are kinda riping off the 07 fords-:t

GM should fire their design team immediately. That's just sad. I know I said it would look like the Tahoe front end, but what's up with the chrome/black bumper and grill? Looks like it should have a wide racing stripe down the hood...not to mention the silly luggage bars! Looks like a cross between a sportside and a fleetside, too...guess someone couldn't make up their mind.

BTW, I just noticed...they must be dealing with the overheat problem by running the trucks with the hoods cracked open (on the safety latch) now......

Hey unit 453, what if the running boards were a little bigger and combine that with the stupid roof rack bars you could have a SWAT unit. Its a truck. What is with the roof bars? This thing looks like 4 different vehicles.(Titan, Pathfinder roof rack, Canyon) and I don't know what else.-:t -:t -:t -:t
Can't anyone design anything new that doesn't look generic.

ya it does look like they were tring to blind to many things in but hey maybe the HD will be different

#21 ·
Well I did like how they incorporated the back up sensors into the rear bumper.

Obviously, they are not considering that these trucks go off road with all that plastic on the front end. Needs some work.

#22 ·
Perhaps this is the car industry's way of forcing us to consume less oil??? (That is by designing vehicles so bad that no one would be caught dead in one ):h)

#23 ·
Hopefully that is just someones photoshop version of what they think it will look like and not the real thing, lol... Hope the HD will have some difference to them so they 3/4 dong look like a 1/2 ton

Wondering.....

That red thing looks too much like a Jap truck from the side. Doesn't even really look fullsize. But if it's actually the new 1500, then GM might be doing what Ford does.....have a light-duty body style and another for the HD 2500-3500 trucks. I was told the new Chev. HD trucks will have essentially the same front as the new Tahoe, which is bigger and supposedly more powerful looking. Makes sense, because the new 1500's are out in September but the new model 2500-3500 won't be available until March of next year. But this is all just speculation. Even so, the new '07 diesels will be loaded down with emissions crap.

Highly doubt it...

:funnypost :exactly: nuff said, looks very weak. Glad I got my '06.

I sure hope that is a photochop!! If not heads should roll, that thing is just plan ugly!!! I guess a soccer Mom might find it appealing?? I hope the HD looks better, I am happy with the looks of my 06 and plan on keeping it until the end of it's life anyways, but for the sake of GM I hope they hit a homerun with the new HD!!! If it looks anything like that 1500 they are going to be in trouble I'm afraid!!
