That light is the"Change Fuel Filter" indicator. I however can't remember how to shut it off! I have to Google it each time. Try a search here.

I've tried both of those multiple times but have had not luck getting the light to go off. I'll try it again

 

I assume you know this but when he says "key on" the engine is not running. It just means turn the key to the on position without the truck running. You have to press the gas pedal like 5 times in less than 10 seconds or something like that.

By the way if you're new to the Kodiaks I would suggest carrying a fuel filter around with you and know how to change it. Just a suggestion.

 

Thanks for input. I am aware not to have the truck running but just the key in the on position. I'll have to continue to try it. Does it flash or anything once it's reset ? I have 3 chevy trucks so I'm familiar with the gas pedal resets but this one does not seem to want to reset.

As far as fuel filters haven't had many problems with it yet I do have an airdog on it so that may help.

I don't recall it flashing but thought it did chime when you reset it. I rarely drive mine, so I'm not really sure right now. It will be summer again before I get it back out.

 

•Reset the fuel filter change light using the following procedure.
5.1. To begin the reset, the engine should be off and the ignition key in OFF or LOCK

5.2. Without pressing the accelerator or brake pedals, turn the ignition key to ON/RUN without starting the engine

5.3. Wait 5 seconds, until the chime turns off

5.4. Fully press the accelerator and brake pedals at the same time and hold them for 10 seconds.

5.5. Wait until Fuel Filter Change light goes out.

5.6. Return to normal vehicle operation.
