Updates

We just released the 2007 GM Gas Evolution. This was out top priority for the last couple months. We now have time to revise the LBZ Evolution. Buck is currently re-tuning/testing the LBZ levels right now and are pretty impressive. No numbers to report right now. I have added some firmware changes (not on the server yet) like: new Main OS support (for everyone that has updated their trucks at dealerships lately), new stock file support, added a forth level, and fix an error #36 bug. As soon as Buck is done tuning/testing, we'll put it on the web (hopefully next week... but don't hold me to that!) and I'll let everyone know about it. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for the update.

Hard to hold back the excitement:drool: !:thankyou2

I am patienlty waiting. Still planning to add boost? 4 levels will be nice.

I cant wait to get the new update,

Anyway you can have the new tunes by next tuesday for me, I have a powerstoke to put in its place at the dragstrip next tuesday!!!

blue 72, you wont have any problems with the powerstroke as is,, just make sure your tranny has fully learned the 3 rd level,, and do a couple of hard runs before you get on the strip. If you dont the truck will limp a little bit going 2-3 or 3-4 (I cant remember right now which one it is) but as long as she is up to full operating temp you will be fine. My truck with just the evo and nothing else ran a 14.6. The only way that the powerstroke will be able to beat you is if he is runing stock rims tires, and exhaust, intake and a sct livewire programmer,,, then it might be close. I seen one run the last time at the track, he had 38's on it, but it ran a 15.3. Take the rims off, maybe a 14.8,, maybe

I think level 3 runs pretty well. I ran a 9.4 1/8 mile with 35s. Then I put my buddies triple dog with crazy larry and it ran a 9.6, ha, but probly wasnt getting enough fuel. I also beat every 6.0, 7.3 and cummins there. They didnt run for ****.

I had a couple problems with my edge evolution with false colds.

And would like to see some updated programming including.

removing of the speed limit

Increase boost

And more comprehensive information on what the actual thrown code may be if you do receive one.

This one is the most important, and I would like to see added.

As for the update. I thank you all for it been long overdue.:thankyou2  :rotflmao:

It can already do this, you have to make a custom program when you load the program.

The new update is suppose to do that!!!

How much info do you want on a 2" x 3" monitor, if you right down the codes and look them up here you can get all the info there is on them. Also what are you doing that your truck is throwing a bunch of codes???

How is your EGT's in level 2 Mork? Mine were hot when pinning it up Wapiti hill. Like mid 1400's. Level 3 was hotter faster but seemed to be same heat in the end. Towing though I can't get my temps past 1500, that is with 12,000 lb trailers, plus truck. Of course pedal to floor at about 110 km/h on hills. It seems as the temps did not go up when hooking on trailer. That is on 2, did not tow on 3. Truck only has 3,000 km now, maybe temps will go down as it breaks in?

Also how does one tell what prgramming they have installed now, I just bought it a month ago maybe, and am wondering if there would be an update, before the 4 level one comes out. I leave on holidays on 27th, want the best of best by then for economy and power while towing 9,000 lbs.

BTW, it also set codes on my 1000 km trip on weekend. both times was a manual downshift, into 4th and then touching brakes. It set a P0606 I think, something about PCM comunication fault. No loose cables here. I now run it in D instead of M and it never did it again. Any ideas? No I have not called Edge, not my biggest priority yet.

Later, and thanks everyone for making my decision to get an Evo, seems to make Pow.

Hey summit,, long time no hear! I get real close to 1500 on level 2 coming up pretty much any hill,, but it dosent seem to get worse even with steep hills like the smokey. I put on a MBRP Cool Duals to try and lower this,, havent really towed since I put them on so I dont know how well it did, but I will keep you posted

Hey morkable, I can hit 1450 really quick on level 3 even with the new exhaust system. level 2 hasn't set off the alarm that is set to 1390. But when I tow my 24' toy hauler level 1 is too hot also. I have to tow in stock mode and only get 9 mpg taking it real easy too.

Im not unhappy with the mileage,,have gotten over 12 pulling my 5er,, thats at about 70 - 75 MPH, on level 2. But I was a little worried about those egts,, normal going,, no problem,, but on a hill,, woah,, but never did get to 1500

Kevin

I find it interesting that some of you guys are see egt's that high. I wonder if its a combimation of elements; exhaust, air temp, altitude, gearing/tire size, speed, air intake , ect..
My experince is towing a 13,000 lbs trailer on 6%-8% grades @ 65 mph (cruise control), Level 2 the highest egt I hit was 1380 for about 5 seconds. I averaged around 10-12 mpg. I am very happy w/ the way this programmer has performed for towing.

Morkable-If your getting over 12 mpg towing a 5'er (weight?) at 70-75 mpg, I think most people hear would agree that thats pretty damn good. Your mpg would also increase if you backed it down 5-10 mph.

Yes I agree SOCAL, I am quite happy with that, my 5er is approx 13k. But I guess one thing that I didnt disclose is that is calculated with an imperial gallon,, not sure how much of a difference that makes, but it is a fair bit bigger than a us gallon. But all in all I am happy with the unit, the egts concern me a bit, and I hope that the new revisions help with that.

I have tried some of the other beta revisions, but I didnt like the driveability of the truck with them loaded, I have settled on the latest release as being the most drivable of the current crop of releases
