I've been repainting my wheels every few years after several tire rotations and getting tired of doing it. Some time ago Pacific Duallies was recommended for stainless steel wheel simulators, but is there anything better or new.

Thanks

Yeah! ditch the simulators and either paint your rims or buy some alloys. After listening to my simulators squeak and having one fly off and cross 6 lanes of traffic I would never put them on a truck again!!!

You will have to let me know how the bolt-ons work for you.

Just to let you know, you are not allowed to put links to sites that are not vendors on this site. They (moderators) will probably remove the link shortly.

And we did...;) :rules:

Look in my Garage...I like my sims...and the wifey does too, she would rather I not take them off and paint the wheels.

I use the SLG116 Pheonix DOT sims made to use the original centers. No noise. Won't come off when you use their mounting nuts and are easy to remove and install. Web site isn't very clear but you don't get any centers with this part number.

I am on my second set of bolt on simulators. A curb got a little too close to one of the front ones and bent it so I put a new set on the truck. Simulators are OK and easy/less expensive to replace. HOWEVER... They do squeak and pop when I back up with the wheels turned because the front tires have a tendacy to flex outwards plus the tires bulge from the weight of the truck, pushing on the edge of the simulators. Believe me when I tell you it is very embarrasing when people are standing around watching and your simulators are squeaking and popping. :(
Alloys have an undenyable quality though there is an initial expense. Consider your thoughts when you see a truck with alloy wheels vs simulators.

Consider your thoughts when you gouge a silmulator instaed of gouging one of your alloys

They came in today and I installed them....... they fit tight, look good and will serve the purpose of trimming out my "beautiful" 2002 stock wheels.

No more cleaning and painting after rotation. :)

I put Aluminum wheels on my Dually. After about 6-8 hours polishing them last weekend, I'm having second thoughts.

They sure look good though.

Have then Clear Powder coated, never polish again!

yes, polishing does suck also but they look so much better

OK..... the reason I bought SS simulators is that I like to rotate my tires at 6000 miles. I don't know of any custom wheels for the dually that don't require remounting of the tires to do a full rotation. The second reason was to make my life easier....no more cleaning and repainting the rotated wheels. Plus, I like the way they look..... 200% better than OEM.

No more SS bashing allowed......:p: :Moon: :)
