Delo 400 was one of the oils I considered using in my truck but I decided to use Rotella 15W-40. I have heard people say Delo 400 is a real good oil. My uncle swears by Delo 400 and has had great service out of it.

The DELO400 LE is somewhat different than the older DELO400. If I recall from some anaylsis reports I read on TurboDieselRegister...the LE stuff has a much lower TBN than the old stuff and I believe alot of the additives that used to make it great are gone or substantially lower.

It went from being a top choice for Cummins owners (some swore similar to synthetic performance)...down to something low on the list. Basically...from simply looking at spec sheets...there were much better choices out there.

For what thats worth. But I bet its still totally acceptable in most anything.

I run delo in all of my diesels. I still use the ci-4 rated oil. You can still get it in 5 gal and 55 gal. drums. I get a 55 gal. drum every year or so. Great stuff.

Wow! How many vehicles do you own and how often are you changing oil in them? A 55 gallon drum of oil is nothing to sneeze at.

I have 2 chev. d-max pick-ups, 2 diesel delivery vans, a frieghtliner and a tractor.
I change the oil every 5,000 miles on the pick-ups and vans, and every 7,500 - 10,000 on the frieghtliner.
Each of the vans and 1 of the d-max put on about 200 miles a day. So it seems like I am always changing oil in something.
