Just though I'd post this, since the other thread is locked. Inquiring minds want to know. Maybe we could start a fund drive to pay for this?

C'mon, someone else must want to know! We're all looking for some type of positive gain from any mod that is performed...

the only thing I know about is the claims in the "seen this yet II" thread. THere were claims made in there of 20-40WRHP. I don't know what other mods or programs they were running cuz that would make a HUGE difference. The more mods and power u are putting to the ground the bigger difference this mod will make. It restricts alot of air!

Are they even available yet? I thought I heard they were back ordered? I stopped following it when I got mine in the mail.

I cant give a hp number but the truck feels alot quicker and crisper throttle, just looking at the two on a bench it is just alot better air flow. there is no way you can go wrong for 85 dollars, you will spend alot more on other mods and probably not help as much, and get more air into you LLY.

OK everyone.I will call Ken Imler tomorrow and see about getting my Dually on his dyno for some comparison runs.I can swap out the Mp in less than 5 min so I will see what he says and how soon I can get it in.

This would be great Demp223! If you post some dyno results, maybe start a collection to help cover your dyno time. I'd be willing to contribute. I liked what the members did on the lubrication study that Spicer organized.

im guessing on stock tune it will be in the 10-20 HP range. the more fuel you throw at it though the more gains you have.

Im set to dyno next Fri.Going to do Predator 120hp tune first then back down to stock to log base run with Kodiak MP then swap in original LLY MP.I cleaned up(mild porting) the LLY MP a bit so it isnt exactly stock anymore but we should get idea.Unless someone has a stock LLY MP (unmodified) they would be wiling to ship to me for test and I will ship back as soon as done.
Im curious as well.I know the Kodiak mp lets my engine hit 34 PSI with B/S at WOT and holds it solid.LLY would hit 31-32 tops.Wonder what 2 psi is worth in HP-Torque plus real curious to see power curve difference as Kodiak definitely spools up quicker.

PM me your address if you are serious. I assume you have an uncut stock intake tube?

sorry all, I was planning and scheduled a dyno, but life happens.. glad someone else is taking the initiative. I'll still get mine done when I can just for a comparison of my truck.

let us know the results and please post before/after charts with smoothing at 5, and error correction.

PM sent.Between you and Killerbee I should definitely have one before next Fri.Thanks for helping guys.Cant wait to test this out.

I want to see results to. Although I am sure that there are about a dozen stock LLY MPs available here on the forum. Or at least they will be very shortly.

demp223,

Thanks for taking the intiative. Again, I'd be willing to contribute to the cost of the dyno time to see the results of this mod. Maybe some others here feel the same. Let us know if we can help out.

Well Im home early and with no good news.
Ken called at 2pm today to say his dyno software(win 98 version) was having issues and was trying to reboot to get to work.Looks like he is going to be buying new program.
My next day off is Mar 13th.I will be making plans with other dyno shops in town as they were already booked today and just in case Ken isnt ready by then.
DmaxDave I got your mp Thur. Thanks so much for stepping up with that.
I had video camera all ready to record pyro, boost and dash gauges to go along with charts.
Ken said we could watch the graphs real time but it wont plot or save data to print.SOOOOOOOOOOOO.Looks like a couple more weeks unfortunately.Tryin to find a dyno shop open on Sat.
