I have a 1997 K3500 that’s all stock with exception of a PMD relocation. The truck was running fine when parked and sat unused for a couple years. I put fresh batteries in it and after chasing several air leaks ended up replacing all fuel lines, lift pumps, filter, tank, and pick up. It had a full service with all filters and fresh oil and coolant. I have a couple glow plugs not working so it cold starts a little rough but idles smooth once warmed up and starts fine when warm, but when running and given fuel at 17-1800 rpm it starts missing pretty roughly, and I get a fair amount of white fuel smoke. It will also frequently throw a P216 code for injection pump timing/injector when cranking cold, but if cleared while running it doesn’t throw it again. Only during starting does it show up. Can anyone offer any insight as to what to check now? I’m assuming possibly injectors, injector pump, or both. Any guidance is appreciated
