I understand the 2004+ 8.1 trucks do not have an inline fuel filter. Has anyone added one? If so, can you detail the procedure.

Filter is mounted on fuel pump/sender assembly. If you desire in line filter it'll take a bit of fab work. either go to salvage yard and cut off filter connections from donor or get new ones from parts house, think NAPA offers repair fittings. It'll require cutting up fuel line and could result in a fuel leak where none existed before.
