:rolleyes:doubt it.

He also says: Supercharger and twin turbos..well over 200 lbs. boost

Those turbos, even with 2 of them, dont look big enough to sport anything remotely close to 2000hp.

lets see it on the dyno

That video was taken at Scheid Diesel Extravaganza. I was there and checked the truck out. It definitely had lots of custom work done to it even had an actuator hooked up to the stacks so that he could raise and lower the stacks to different heights. I didn't talk to him though so I don't know what he was claiming for horsepower, all I can say is it looked cool and sounded wicked when he would rev it.

the owner told me that he projected 1200+ hp and was not stoping untill he got to 2000hp of fuel only..... not that he was already there.

Not Looking to start any arguments but this is not our truck it is a customers truck. He really dont have any intentions of putting it on a dyno for awhile hes having to much fun street driving the heck out of it. The 1200hp number is just a projected number for what we have seen similar in Fuel and Large TWINs trucks do according to track times and dyno pulls. When he decides to make a pull on the dyno we will let you guys know.

By the way 2000hp common rail is closer then you may think............

Awesome, I wasn't saying anything bad about you guys, I think what you are doing is awesome! I just think it would be hard to get a true 1,200hp out of a SC motor. But it would be awesome if it was. Can you enlighten us some on the truck? the specs? How it all works, do the blower and turbos split boost? How much boost/air is it pushing?

#16 ·
Truck has two precision GT42's pushing air through a 9.8L blower (not a typo). I wouldn't be one bit surprised if it put down 1200+ on fuel as it sits in that video.

...just sayin'
Holysh!t that is a lot of air:eek: Didn't realize the turbos were that big. I don't know anything about blowers, how big is the 9.8? How much air will it push?

Nick you doing the tunning on the truck?

#17 ·
similar blowers are used on one of his 1100 cubic inch off shore race boats. That set a couple MPH records a few years back.

#19 ·
9.8 L is HUGE. My mustang cobra only has a 2.3L and is good for 600 rwhp at 16psi

Seen this truck in person and also talked with the owner for a while as he was parked right next to my trucks at Schied's. He said he's hoping for 2000 hp and will not put it on a dyno till he's pretty sure it will reach that. He also told me around 1200 currently. Amazing truck regardless.

He said he's hoping for 2000 hp and will not put it on a dyno till he's pretty sure it will reach that.
That statement is absolutely ignorant. How can you be "pretty sure" you will reach something that no one has even come close to achieving? That's like saying "I benchpress 350 now, but I'm not maxing out again till I'm sure I'll bench over 1,000 lbs"

And we may be closer than some think to seeing a 2000 rwhp #2 only commonrail, but those of us who are in the competition circles know it's still a good ways off yet. We have a lot of guys with bottomless pockets devoting their entire lives to that very goal, and we're still barely 3/4 of the way there. And I'd be willing to bet that when it is finally acheived, the truck won't be running a supercharger.

Any more video footage of this truck?

#23 ·
I also looked at this truck at scheids and talked to him. Super cool dude. This truck is amazing. Truely undesricable. By far the craziest thing i have ever laid eyes on.

#24 ·
i do agree with xtinct..... NEED MORE PICS.

#25 ·
Is this in a pickup or medium duty truck?

#29 ·
Let me get this straight...I stated a fact...the baddest fuel only common rail truck is barely 3/4 of the way there. That is a fact, plain and simple. We have a long way to go. And you respond with this, "Just B/C its not in a chat room or forum does not mean its not happening."

This statement seems to imply that there is in fact a 2000 rwhp fuel only commonrail somewhere that isn't being discussed on any forum. You hiding a new fuel-only record truck up at Empire that nobody has heard about? Or just speculating about what somebody else might be doing?

And I simply said that it was MY OPINION that when the first CR truck did hit 2000 on #2 it wouldn't have a HP-robbing supercharger. MY OPINION. Yours may differ but you don't know anymore than anyone else about building a 2000 rwhp CR because it hasn't been done. Nobody knows yet what it will take to generate those numbers. Also, I realize that your crew is/was one of the first to the party with the S/C trucks, and that's kinda become your thing. It's cool and has it's place, and I'll be the first to say that Harley's truck is impressive. I just have yet to see the peak RPM advantage of a S/C over a massive set of twins.

I asked him what it makes for boost. He said he sees 120psi brake torquing it, but doesn't know what the system fully makes. It will be interesting to see what it's full potential will be. I have to give props to Empire for building this truck. It is a work of art and very well built.
Thanks for the props!! DDP may have quite possibly seen a 2k cr and it was not a white truck but that of black in color........

I also looked at the truck at Schied. Not sure on the power, but it was very well built and a work of art for sure. The guy did seem like a nice guy just wanted to bs with everyone. Seemed to me he was having fun. Jeff

Ahh. Gotcha.

BTW, Nick that new logo is badass.

Sorry for the confusion but it would be speculating on the truck at EDP..... DDP just may have possibly seen with his eyes this speculated truck while at EDP's open house.
Any info you can reveal regarding said badass truck, or is she still under wraps?

This truck was featured in this months diesel power magazine.
