2019 Sierra 3500 Duramax with 135k mile on it. I asked the dealer what maintenance I should look for in the future. His reply was, change the glow plugs at 150k.
I've not had any issues with glow plugs or any other issue with the motor. Any thoughts on this recommendation?
Is he just trying to sell me a large repair or is this something that I should plan on?

I would consider their advice as gold. 150k on glow plugs is a lot of miles. I would also follow the owner's manual for the Diesel Engine Maintenance Schedule to the letter.

Did they quote you a price to do that?

Last glow plug I replace was about 10 or 11 years on a LML and it was covered by warranty.

Fwiw, when a glow plug has failed it will set a CEL and with a CEL the remote start will not work.

I got 4 quotes from dealerships to independent repair shops. From $600 to $1350 to replace all 8 at once.
