This may be in the wrong place, but have any of you ZF 6 guys noticed that the transfer case is bolted to the transmission, and nothing else. It just hangs there. There is a crossmember right under it, but I can run my hand between it and the transfer case and it is not attached. The transmission sets on a crossmember, but not the transfer case. Is this the way it is, or was something left off mine?????

Thats just the way it is as i think most all trucks are some use a spacer/adapter between the two and use it for the mount but never just on the transfer case its self

The drive shaft and tranny output shaft are stout and connect with a stout tcase shaft which do most of the support for the tcase.
