I was just under mine yesterday guting my cat and was glad I didnt go with a 5 inch exhaust because everything looked real tight. Id say you should fab up some kind of chaffing gear to set under it. Like the non U-bolt half of an exhaust clamp and put a piece of high temp material on it and force it under the pipe on top of the tranny brace. just my .02 hope it helps
ya it might be that the ubolt clamp isn't tight enough. ive had a problem with the exhaust slipping apart from vibration at the 4-5 in adapter pipe which is like a foot from the spot pictrued above. if i can get the 4 in back in the adapter and tighten the clamp enough, maybe, just maybe will if fix the problem.
Loosen the clamps on both ends and the next one down. Take a piece of wood, socket, or something to get about 1"-2" of clearance and put it between the pipe and the cross member. Now go back and re-tighten everything, it should not be touching.
