Will straight piping my 03 duramax void the warranty?

:welcome2: To the Place, Yes it might depending on the dealer if you were in need of warranty repairs you should probably reinstall the cat and muffler before you visit. Try a search on your question there is other threads on this subject

the 03 have no cat exept for the one in California IIRC

Well my buddy has a 6.0 ford and he had some problems with the turbo on his and he had his straight piped, which isnt what caused the turbo problem, but when he took it in to get it fixed they said warranty would not cover it because of the muffler being gone

My Point being Its is connected to the Motor, there for if they wanted to say they will not cover something because of the exhaust they probably will. I'm not saying every dealer would do this but they are funny like that. Its just better safe than sorry. Anyways I think (don't quote me) the exhaust is under the Emissions warranty so there would be a chance you might loose that coverage. However If you have a cat-back system you would not have any issues.
