I just thought i would comment on the truck i just bought. Ina quick summary i am 27yrs old and have raised myself since i was 16. Needless to say it was scratch and claw for everything that i ever had and also ment "used" and "crappy" trucks along the way. But i havve been in the communication/security line of work for the past 9 yrs and its starting to pay off. I finally convinced the company i have been with for the past two years to give me a truck allowance proving it would be a "win" "win" for both of us. But being that i travel alot and am not in one place for along peroid of time it was hard for me to even look for a truck. Any "sorry was starting to write a novel"lol i finally talked with the sales guy my company uses for their trucks and he said that he had a truck at the dearlership that sounded what i was looking for and within 2 days with all the paper work and crap that had to be done done i was in the truck. Now that being said ima gona say that when the company agreed to the allowance i went striaght for the diesel knwing it would be a work truck that was going to be a traveling /towing truck. I guess i just got lucky for the truck i got not knwing anything about what was out there or anything about a diesel. But DAMMMM :) as soon i drove off the lot i was in love and addicted!!!!! i can go on and on about my feelings toward this truck but yall would just get tired of it and close this thread so ill stop. lol but i would like to know what this truck would list as in price cause like i said i had very Little time to do the whole thing and just wonder if i got a minor burn or the 3rd degree price woop'n. The truck is a 2006 2500HD LT D/A 4x4 CC LBZ. I think yall can tell by the "LT" what all is inside of it but if you would like to know just ask. I have had it for 2weeks on friday and have 3200miles on it and loved every mile. It is not even funny how much pwoer this thing has or what it could do in the little time i have had it or what still awaits me. Looking forward to your feed back.I have a picture of it but didnt post it cause i took it at night so it is alittle dark but will post it if anyone whants to see it.

The truck is a 2006 2500HD LT D/A 4x4 CC LBZ

There are 3 LT Trims, LT1, LT2, and LT3.

I'll take a guess and say MSRP was anywhere from 46-50K depending on options, 40-43K is what I would expect to pay.

GM just restructured all the pricing, my Truck is an extended Cab LT3 4x4 etc with almost everything. Leather, Moonroof, Onstar, XM etc and the MSRP was about 47, invoice was 40 and change but using the GMSD Certificate that I got on the forum the price is a little less than invoice but I get to take advantage of whatever rebates are out. Currently $500.

Thats with the old pricing, with the new pricing everything dropped by like $1500 bucks.

I wouldn't worry about what you payed, obviously you were satisfied with the deal. Don't make yourself feel bad by finding out people are buying them cheaper. Just Enjoy it. :)

I just purchased a 2006 2500HD LLY 4X4 D/A CC (LT3). MSRP= $50 K and some change. GM red tag + factory and dealer rebates= $ 41 K. (USD)

To All: I just want to say hello to everyone for the first time. I've been on for several weeks just checking out and reading all the great information that people post here (mostly on the LLY forum) I think this an awesome web site. I bought this truck after months and months of research and test drives of all three makers: Ford F250 PSD, Dodge 2500HD CTD and the one I own now. Each make has it's strong and weak points, but overall the Chevy/GMC HD's with the combination of Duramax and the Allison transmission is hands down the best. I bought the truck to haul my toy hauler. I have three boys that race motocross (amature) and a 4th boy that will start on his peewee 50 next year. I don't have any plans to modify from stock (except maybe some different tires) ever. The truck has more than enough power for anything I'll be doing with it. My opinion is that these trucks are not hot rods...they're work horses with lots of style.

Take care.

Thanks all for yalls replies! Im not worried about the cost was just wondering.. esp. that the company is paying for like 98% of it:ro)lol. Thats funny that u asked that WHISTLER06 cause that is the same thing the dealership asked me today when i went in to swap mirrors and told them to change the oil.lol I just took some pix but have to figure out how to make them smaller cause it says the file is too big for up loading so i will post them asap.

I have an '04. purchased 4-31-04. Have 51k on, maintained engine & trans regularly. I use it to tow a small 6x10 cargo trailer all the time & get about 14.5 average. This is the second deisel I have owned. My first was an ignorant mistake on an '82 Suburban 6.2 w/ Banks turbo system. I bought a well used (& abused). Donated it a few years ago, bad taste. However, this '04 has been great, speedometer went crazy, dealer replaced. I have been a loyal GM owner since '82. Father-N-Law retired from General motors. I have one issue that is not resolved, the steering pops when turning on occasion. The first time they replaced some parts, waited a month for parts to arrive from 11-04 to 12-04. Thought issue was resolved, but noise soon started again a month later. I don't always have time to let vehicle set idle at dealer due to needing it daily for business use. My father bought the actual black quadra-steer extended cab truck that was used on the first commercials from Chevrolet. Yes, that very truck, not one similar. It had gone to auction, Mark Miller Pontiac in Salt Lake City got it & my father, then a salesman for Miller, snagged it. We put his 5.3 against this 6.6 head to head. the 5.3 took the line, however, my 6.6 turbo kicked in & walked away with dad in the rear-view mirror. I wasn't even pushing it. Dad said he had the pedal to the metal. His next truck will be the 6.6 Duramax. I drive crew-cab daily and always enjoy it. I plan to upgrade engine when warranty runs out, not before.
