A member from another board is interested in my head unit, but he is unsure if it will fit. He has a '05 2500HD that came with a non-Bose CD player. He has XM radio, but no steering wheel controls. My truck came with everything: Steering wheel controls, rear audio controls, XM radio, OnStar, etc. Please say that it does so I can sell it already. Thanks.

yes it'll work. The only difference between Bose and non-Bose radios is the programming in them.

I do not know if it will work. I do know that TIS programming has a selection for "MP3 radio" when I searched this very thing using a Silverado VIN. Trouble is, when I selected MP3, it was a dead end. Maybe GM is working on new programming to allow that swap.
