My OBD II scanner won't read codes on my '02 D-Max. It reads my wife's mini-van fine, but no display on my truck. Is there a different place to plug into, or do I have to go buy a new scanner?

What kind of scanner ??

Most should read generic OBDII codes, the connector for OBDII is the same for all vehicles.

Nice to see your a Kaw / KLR250 owner as well !!

When you plug it in does it even power up. If not check the "cig" fuse in the under hood fuse block.

Bingo!! It was the "CIGAR" fuse under the hood. I checked the fuse panel in the cab, but not under the hood. Thanks for the tip.

My code reader is an Actron C9135.

As for my Kawasaki, we've had over 70 inches of snow, and only 6 days above freezing, since December 20th, so it's been awhile since I've had a chance to ride it.

You guys in the US are lucky !! They stopped bringing in the Kawasaki KLR 250's into Canada in 99 ( not sure why ? )...and they were still available in the US till 2005/2006? We got the Super Sherpa instead...not even close to a KLR 250.
