Well, almost. It actually ran out when I was on the way to station to fill it up. Put 5 gallons in it and primed it a bunch and it kicked right off, but then died again. Primed it again...started up and died again. Third time was a charm. It must have had some air in the line. I changed my filter about 1000 miles ago, do you think I need to change it again since it went empty? Friends, don't let your wives run em dry.

Hey at least she didn't run out and have someone help put gas in it.

Then the heading would have read "Wife Ran Out Of Fuel And I Divorced Her".

I would change the filter anyway. Just my .02 cents

I see no reason to change your fuel filter with only 1000 miles on it. Running out of fuel, IMHO, could not damage your filter.----

I warned my wife about running out of fule about 20 years ago when we bought our first Diesel. Ever since as soon as the fuel gage comes off the top peg she fills it up. Boy am I lucky.

Shame on somebody for letting it get that low in the firt lace. My wife says its my job to be sure both the truck and car are fueled up when needed and to disagree is a fatal mistake.
