Hey guys, I know there’s been lots of discussions about this topic I have read all the forums I can find about this topic I’ve heard everything from it’s the harmonics from the high compression all the way down to the harmonic balancer being the cause, If there are any mechanics out there who have worked on these engines in the past what is your theory on this? Because I’m wanting to do 18 to 1 compression pistons and a scat crank and have the rotating assembly balanced along with splayed main caps also a fluidamper and I’m wondering if I do these modifications will that create more longevity in the engine and prevent it from breaking if I’m towing or just having fun around town. P.s. if anyone is wondering if I’m the same person that made a thread similar to this a few weeks ago yes I am I just need more information. i’m either going to do this with a 6.2 or 6.5 I’m not sure which one to use yet.
