I just recieved a new Attitude monitor, ( old one broke before i could play.) When i put in in hot mode(LVL 6) and i mash it it seems to kinda "buck" a little. Even when im cruising about 70-75 and i goose it a little to blow smoke it will buck or jump a little. Feels wierd, any one have the same prob or some answers? -thanks-Tim

What you are feeling is probably the edge box defueling because the transmission is slipping. Change your display to show backdown percentage, and I bet when it is bucking, the percentage rises from zero. Mine slips in level 5 some times, have not unlocked level 6 because I dont want to wipe out my trans. Hopefully this helps. Nick

Thanks. I have a newly installed fuel filter BTW, and i had the 5-6 shift Defuel turned off to see if it mattered, but it still did it. Like i said this is just when im cruising and feather the throttle to "lay some smoke" . I hope i can use level 6 from time to time! What technique are you guys using to smoke out the occasional Tailgaiter?...

Your fuel rail pressure is getting low. Mine does the same thing. If you go down to level 5 it will be better, but may still be there every once in a while. From what I've read, fuel pumps will help, but you need tranny upgrades to really use level 6 to the fullest.

Also, the way I understand it, the backdown percentage that is displayed is nothing more the cold engine protection. It starts at 100% when cold and slowly ramps up to 0% when the motor warms up. Has nothing to do with defueling due to transmission slip.

My technique....

Put Edge/Attitude in level 6 (mine's usually already there!). Let everything lock up in either 5th (50mph) or preferrably 6th (55mpg) without being into the throttle very much. Once the torque convert locks, smoothly add throttle to about 75% (not enough to down shift), and watch the world behind you disappear. You've got about 10 seconds or so until you'll throw a code for low fuel rail pressure.

I wouldn't do it too much unless you're blocked and fingered. Also, probably not gonna do a cat. converter much good! But it sure gets people off of you bumper!

I have the same issue, bad in Level 6, so-so in level 5.

It bucks and makes a woof-woof sound that is reminiscient of what Donald Sutherland's character Oddball in "Kelly's Heroes" would do.

I plan on lift pump(s) soon....

Check for DTC P0087 Whether it's there or not you'll need lift pump(s)

Running high HP levels on stock clutches will eventually take it's toll. It's only a matter of time and don't count on the Jr kit to save you.

Also note it is said that Edge is increasing boost quite a bit in level 6. This combined with fueling changes could be causing compressor surge etc...
