New truck with a crack that came from nowhere...
I've called around and everyone has told me you cannot get a windshield thru PPG, LOL etc.. that has the solid tint across the top...?

Can someone tell me a specific name of a windshield that they've had done with the darker top to it?

I've got a local guy who said he can do it for $165. He said it would have GM stamped on it and it would be made by PPG or Pinklerton...? He would give me a lifetime against leaks and a 90 day against stress cracks or manufacturing defects. Another place said $200 and it would be the same brands but they offer a lifetime warranty against any defects, stress cracks etc...

The guy that gave me a price of $165 said he uses a urethane that works in the winter so it will setup properly. I've always heard wait for the warmer weather so it will cure properly. Any recommendations?

I've got one recommendation - stay away from the guy that will only warranty it for 90 days. That's crap. :(
