What is the best wheel finish for dusty, dirty, muddy conditions? Like driving down a gravel road every day. Is it chrome, polished aluminum, or something else. I go down a couple miles a day on gravel. Whats the best that will keep it shining?

I would go with "machined" aluminum with a coating. Might not be as shinny but would look cleaner longer.

Though chrome looks sweet, a polished wheel will probably give better service life. Though it might be a PITA, you can always polish aluminum and get it back to like new. Once the chrome lifts, peels, flakes - game over.

Plus, there are several good products to preserve the shine on polished rims.

I have had good luck with Super Finished wheel which is a polished. I have had good luck with them staying shiny after getting them dirty.

American Racing Wheels

Have you looked at American Racing Wheels? They are making a one piece painted alloy with Teflon coated wheel. The Mojave is an 8 lug and the Victor and Chamber are 5 lug. I am thinking of running the Mojave in the winter to save wear and tear on the fragile finish on the stock wheels.
