Hey all,
I was wondering what some of you do for security on your trailers. I had a 44 ft gooseneck race trailer that was stolen with the truck. Thank God I didn't have any customer cars inside at the time. I never thought about an alarm and you can only back up to so many fences so the back door can't come down. Thanks

I worry about that too. There have been times that I've had to drop my trailer at a hotel to go to dinner or to meet people where I couldn't park the truck and trailer. I've got a long cable that I feed through the wheels and while it might not stop a thief from taking the trailer if would slow them down.

I'm open to more ideas too.

I've padlocked the hitch shut, taken off the jack handle, run a chain through the pintle ring.
5th wheel get a lock that goes around the pin.

these may not stop someone but may slow them down and make 'em work for it.

Pulled up to a hotel in Bishop and told the nice lady that I would like a room provided my rig stays in the lot and she said'sure, take those spots right there" I wasn't about to drop it on a street someplace with what I had inside. I like the boot idea and chain the wheels together.
