Very simple- What did you do to your LBZ today?

I plugged in the block heater so it would be warm at startup here in VA after our 6" of snow last night.

I filled it up with fuel and made it pull a trailer for about 35 miles. Typical day.

Watched it sit in driveway under a blankie made of snow while I plowed my driveway with my 31 year old Wheel Horse. I drove my S-10 ZR2 on the wonderful slushy/salty Fayette county backroads while the Duramax slept all day....:coolnana:

I did drive it to the dealer the other day and got a kick out of the salesman trying to put me in a new GMC Canyon...those things are sweet!!! I told him as soon as I have full control of the million dollar trust, I will be in...:bigglasse

Drove 10.8 miles to work (7.1 was freeway). Then after work drove straight home for a total of 21.6 miles. I typically drive like an 80 year old. And I set the cruise at 62 on the freeway (right after it shifts into 6th). Speed limit is 60 on that stretch, so just right. Owned it since new and I still love driving it!

I fueled up at $2.89 a gallon and went to Salvation Army and bought some used cross country ski's I need to build a sled for my ice fishing gear for $5.00. Then I checked out a few lakes and headed home. Too cold to wash the truck (-14f).

Picked it up from the shop.

Had a billet grill, bowtie, shorty antenna, locking gas cap, and AMP research steps installed.

Flushed the radiator and filled with distilled water to do the same thing on Sunday. New coolant next week when we change to daylight savings time.

Oil change with Rotella T5 10w-30 and double drain and fill with Walmart Supertech Dex III ATF.

This spring I hope to flush the coolant out. As far as I know its still all original. 9yrs and 100k miles is probably enough lol on the old stuff.

washed, vacuumed it, windex'd the glass, cleaned the wheels....and eventual saw my beloved lbz again....

Today I ordered stainless steel brake lines from Inline Tube.

Wife woke me up in a panic this morning. She was backing out the driveway to go to the mall and the pedal went to the floor. I come out and the rear brake line had ruptured right above the fuel tank. FML.

Today I ordered stainless steel brake lines from Inline Tube..

Been there done that, not a great feeling when the brake pedal goes to the floor and the truck barely stop on last time on those crappy factory brake lines. Save your receipt just in case GM finally issues a TSB/Recall.

Gm wont be recalling brake lines, thats a wear item from salt and corrosion, but GM does now offer fully bent and rubber coated brake line kits for like $80, there is a TSB on it, the kits work out really well too, i have installed 3 sets of them only takes about 3-5 hours to cut out all the old ones and fish in the new ones, in the TSB gives directions and a full list of what lines or order depending on cab style, box and 4 wheel abs ect..

Drove it a little south of me and had my new Toyo MT's mounted on my summer wheels! $340 each out the door is what I paid...

I now have 3 sets of used tires, one set of old 35" Swampers with Classic II's, another set of Pro Comp wheels, guess I need to have a yard sale!!!
