The 6.2L diesel engine eats PureOne oil filters (PL34631).
They keep the oil real clean but they clog fast. I don't want to be driving a 1000 mile trip and find my filter has had it after half the trip.
Does any one have some parts that would help me make a nice super filter set up.
I need:
the adaptor that goes inplace of the oil filter to give me oil send return lines.
a web site with filter heads that take big filters. (I might just ebay these)
a little insite into what oil, hydraulic and fuel filters that are real good to use in a rig like this.

I use an Oil Guard bypass and the custom dual permacool setup in my sig.. I bought the permacool dual setup for using PH-13 filters (from permacool about $40), then I had a machinist make up two sleeves that would fit over the filter mount threads and allow me to use the Mobil 1, M1-403 filters (2 sleeves threaded inside and out). I am very happy with how the whole thing came out. The Mobil 1 filters hold about 1 1/2 quarts apiece. The whole shabang is about 10 1/2 quarts for an oil change now.

I have the Amsoil BMK-12 system installed. Oil is looking very clean after several thousand miles.

Amsoil has a sandwich adapter for the Duramax engine. This goes between the standard spin-on oil filter and the block; it provides a convenient oil supply port. I do not know if it will work in the 6.2L engine.

i have used dual bypass system on all my trucks and they took very little time to put together. put the screw on adapter where oem filter goes, find a location for filter block, measure lines and cut, install screw crimp ends on hoses, attach hoses. filters can be mounted horizontal or vertical. I will post pics of setup in my garage.
