And this is based on........ Nevermind I just read your sig "If it ain't GM it Ain't mine" closed minded people miss out on so much.....but GM loves ya!:D

Now, Back on topic. Tdiclub.com already listed is the best place for info on the ALH 1.9 that you have in the Jetta. The cheapest and easiest power would be a computer program. I recommend Rocket Chips, they have different stages depending on how far you want to go and what other mods you have (bigger turbo, stronger clutch) the next option would be bigger injector nozzles, go here to check them out www.kermatdi.com
The TDI responds well to power, if you go with a stage III and .205 nozzels you will add about 60WHP and 100WTQ without sacraficing mileage. I have these mods and still get 50+ most of the time.

My best was 15.4 @ 91, but FWD with street tires made to last 80k don't help (2.4 60'). I can't give full throttle in 1st. it just spins. The Diesel engine is what makes this car so fun to drive, even though it's a tiny 1.9L with a tiny VNT 15 turbo, with the mods I have it cranks out over 250WTQ at 1900RPM's. That makes it feel like a V8, not a little 4 banger and you never have to downshift to pass or pull a good hill. Now, if you are looking for one the ALH 1.9L I have was made between 99.5 and 03 (pre-99 used a waistgate style turbo and made less torque) In 04 they went to the Pumpe-Duse 1.9L which gets a little less mileage (average about 43) but has way more potential for power. BTW, I bought mine new, I now have 173k miles on the car and it still runs as good as it did new. My last tank I went 710 miles on 14.1 gallons!!!
