Just got back a new V2 unit after a muck around...

So I registered the new V2 on the computer, made sure all the drivers were up to date. And I went to go try and tune my truck.

I plugged everything in and all was fine, went to do a calibration flash and it did a bit of stuff and when it got to the bootloader stage it said there was a bootloader error/rejected and also that the ecm is in an unknown state.

The truck still runs fine after the ordeal, I tried it twice and same thing.

Does this have to do with the ecm being locked by the old V2 or what? Any help is appreciated.

I know you said cancel but someone else may benefit from this.

Start from the Key and work your way back to the software.

Key on.
Plug into the truck.
Plug into the laptop.
Launch the software.

Most boot loader rejected messages are a result of improper communication with the vehicle.

Having the software open and then plugging into the truck seems to be a sure fire way to get a boot loader rejected message.
