Finally another update. Still haven't mounted the turbos but have about everything else done. Did a feed the beast mod. Everything is 3/8 from tank to injection pump now. Got these from home Depot.

Drilled out the center for Max flow and used an o-ring where it screws into pump.

Found a larger fuel filter housing and with some fittings from Napa got it plumbed up. And mounted behind the driver headlight. ( Guess I should mention the batteries are in the bed now. Will do a write up on that as well. )

Plan on upgrading the lift pump soon. Has a newish ac delco. I installed a liquid filled 0-15 psi gauge on the IP side of the filter and was surprised to see it is 9.5 - 10 KOEO and 8 and drops to 5 when running and punching it.

Anyone know what the IP can take?

Don't remember the model off hand but it's one of the best mechanical pumps from what I've read.

While I had the intake off I did a gasket match port job on it. .

Pressure washed it with degreaser after to make sure all metal was gone.
You can feel a bit more power now and with it 18:1compression it rolls coal like crazy if I hammer it.

Plumbed the turbos together so I can set the boost. Decided on 12.5 psi and can adjust it with boost controller. Maybe 15psi Max not sure.

Yes well the soon part is wishful thinking. When it's your DD and you have a wife and kids.

Anyways had to do a water pump so while I was in there I decided to solve putting the dual thermostat crossover on a mechanical 6.5. Really wasn't that hard, had a few clearance issues but the worst problem was the throttle cable. My cruise hasn't worked in years and never really used it when it did. So I left it out.

Had to shave the driver side bracket behind the tensioner. Might have worked but would have touched.

In this one you can see the new throttle bracket and behind the thermostat housing there is a small spring bracket I had to make. At this angle the throttle is a bit touchy but no more than most newer cars and Oly took a few minutes to get used to.

Almost made me regret pulling the housing bolt broke off in the head. Tried everything and finally drilled tapped helicoil and put a stud there to take extra strain off of it. Also had to modify the fuel return off the injectors. Just cut and bent it and attached with 1/4. Fuel line for now.

Just a pic of it all apart my dad had done the motor a Harley theme but the paint looks horrible after just a few years. I'm currently getting setup for powder coating. And about to finally park this. Maybe I'll finally get the turbos on.

It runs a bit cooler even during extended idle. What's weird is it brought up the idle even though it isn't pulling on the cable. It already was a bit high my dad set it at about 750. The feed the beast mod brought it up some and this about another 100rpm. Maybe the cold idle solenoid is partly on due to running cooler? I'll check it out today.
