Hello guys,
Is the turbo 350 recommended for my 6.2? I may get a gear vendors overdrive for towing...I need thoughts and opinions, please.

if your gonna go with a 3 speed auto i personally would go with a th400. the 350 should bolt up, and is slightly stronger than a 700r4 (which does alright behind the 6.2).

Basically, the Th350 is equal in strength to the 700R4 - you can consider the 700R4 a 350 with an added gear and lockup converter. Both are much stronger than any 6.2 diesel without a turbo. The later 4L60 is the basically the 700R4 with electronic controls.

The TH400 is much stronger. The later 4L80E is basically the TH400 with an added gear and lockup converter - and electronic controls.

The C-code 6.2 diesel has a max. SAE torque output of around 240 lb. ft. A 305 gas often around 255 lb. ft. The TH350 and 700R4 are both rated over 300 lb. ft. The new metric designations used by GM - with the 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L80E - the numbers reflect the torque rating. But, I'm not sure what exactly 60, 65, or 80 what - it's certainly isn't pound-feet and it cannot be newton-meters either.
