Hell, I'm old and 1/2 blind. No matter which way I turn my head, those little connectors are still on my blind side.):h

If you want to send it my way, I could probably solder that back on...No promises though... As long as it didn't rip the pads off, it should be able to get soldered back... and maybe even if they did...

Are you looking for technique to mount the connector? If so, give me a call. I'll walk you through it.

In short, with the board upside down, use a flashlight to shine light through the holes. Now hold the socket with some tweezers and line the prongs up with the holes. You should be able to see the prong shadows though that board. Play with it a little over a flashlight and you will see what I mean.

Rick, what happened to it?

If the pads haven't lifted off the board it can be repaired.

It does look in better condition that the one that got run over (Paul forgot it was under the hood)

Cheers

There are no holes there on the FS1. It's Surface Mount (at least mine is).

It came in the mail that way today from the guy I bought it from. The pads look good. It just looks like it was a cold joint. How can I get it fixed? Not sure I trust just anyone, especially me.):h

If you don't mind paying shipping it to CA and back, I'll fix it for ya. Should take me all of about 10 min. I might be able to get it back in the mail same day.

I'll PM you my address and phone number in case you're interested.

We can put you in touch with someone in LA who could repair it, he's repaired items for us in the past and has an intimate knowledge of our hardware.

Cheers
