I operate a fleet of several duramax. This one of the biggest problems we have. Why can't GM get there problems figured out. Th biggest thing I found is that the ignition must be off and you must fill the front tank first. If not done in this order the computer gets screwed up and won't register right and not transfe fuel correctly.

I have an 05 cab and chassis same thing. Transfer pump was making a loud rattle yesterday. Got up this morning started my truck same rattle truck shows half tank. Went inside to let warm up. 10 min later got in it on my way to work look down fuel guage shows empty. My friends truck done the same thing. Lots of flatbeds around here. Everyone I know has had the same problem. Transfer pump bad or stopped up vent tube.
