How much lower does the transfer flow 45 gal replacement tank sit than the stock tank?
I will be driving some rough dirt backcountry roads and am worried about puncturing the tank.
Since I will be on dirt should I be looking at the across bed tank?
Anybody with a 4x4 have one of these replacement tanks and can tell me how low they sit?
Thanks,
Roscoe

The lowest part of the tank appears to be about flush or just above the cross member under the transmission. The rear of the tank extends down about 2 1/2" below the axle tube (just above the top edge of the bolt in the bottom of the shock absorber).

The tank is really stout. I can imagine it getting dented, but it would take a pretty good impact with a rock to put a hole in it. The transmission cross member would encounter the rock before it hits the tank.
