Trailer landing gear conversion to 2 speed

I'm getting annoyed with my gooseneck's landing gear and also to an extent a hd bumper pull that has a landing gear instead of a jack. Both jacks are welded on, so it wouldn't be too fun to remove and probably destroy the jacks. I'm thinking it should be easy to put on (weld if needed) one of the gear boxes that comes with the 2 speed jacks they make for trailers now instead of replacing the whole jack at $260+. However I can't find just the gearbox part separate from the jack anywhere.

Well, thanks everyone for your wonderful suggestions...... I found this on ebay. http://http://www.ebay.com/itm/HSP-RC-1-10-11184-11181-Differential-Metal-Steel-Main-Gear-64T-Motor-Gear-21T/281223958151?_trksid=p5713.c100041.m2061&_trkparms=aid%3D333008%26algo%3DRIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140109102600%26meid%3Df13d92dce1454b408669a7b2cee10672%26pid%3D100041%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D36%26sd%3D271803651872 I am going to try to weld these gears on to the shaft that runs the jack, and make the handle removable, using trailer bearings to support the cranking force. I'll add a pic whenever i end up doing it.
