Have an '04 LB7 with no CAT and am thinking about taking out the muffler and straight piping it.

Now done some reading and I guess there isn't too much of a difference in EGT's with or without the muffler, so other than sound why do it? Will be stock exhaust system.

TIA

I think the stock muffler is pretty restrictive. I only had a muffler for a week after I bought my truck and straight piping it helped turbo spool

I love the rumble with my straight pipe. I have the exit in front of the rear tire and when I get on it it rumbles inside and ROARS outside.

get rid of the stock muffler, but just to warn you if you tow heavy and a lot it does get noisy

just pulling a 7000# Airstream so not too much weight.

Installed the Nicktane today and Friday it's time for the muffler chop.

TIA
