a buddy of mine is running a homemade set up on his rig ,its a bbq tank, silenoid, small regulator of some sort to reduce the flow and a hobbs switch. he says the regulator is a 6-8 psi regulator and he is running it wide open with no problems,it is set to come on at 20psi of boost. there is big increase in power and the motor doent sound bad when its flowing propane, does this sound safe?

I guess the propane will last a long time if it's set to 20 psi.):h Why is it set so high?

The deluca kit will come as soon as the boost is over 2-4psi. or so. The more the turbo sucks, the more lp you get.

See if you can find out the output pressure of the regulator. As long as he isn't getting any detonation, he should be fine. I now have some 8 lb switches if you don't want lp except for power.
