my 3rd brakelight quit , i went to a gm dealer and had to purchase the whole brakelight assembly and it still doesnt work , any info would be appreciated.

Maybe a break in the wires. Check all your fuses.

if i am not mistaking the stop light switch has an out put for both the third light and the two out board lights .check the switch.

one other question for bill5674 is the switch located on the brake pedal ?

Did you use a test light and check current at the third brake light itself?

It could be the CHMSL fuse .
