I have an 03 that just clicked 100K. I noticed this while unloading my boat a couple of months ago, the truck started smoking abnormally at the landing. It went away quickly, but as of late, I'm noticing that when the outside temps are under 34* F, the truck sporadically smokes, but only upon stopping at a light, or to park. Oil checks fine, mileage is not showing any deficits. I have a superchips tuner set on level 1, so you know. My thoughts are a possible over rich in cold temps with the tuner?? I know the obvious first step would be to return the tune to stock and compare, but again, it's very sporadic.

It might be your injectors. Have you had them done? You should have your balance rates checked. Have you scanned it for codes?

If you're asking have I had the injectors repalced, no, there has been no need. I did remove the tune, and so far, no smoking at idle, time will tell. I'm having the rates checked tomorrow, and an individual cancellation test as well. I dread having to have this work performed at my local dealership if indeed there's a replacement need....arrrg. In fact, I'm almost positive there are no certified Dmax techs currently in force there, double arrrg. No codes present mvn, and thank you for the response.
