I want to adjust the tdc offset in search of a power increase. I have found several sites which offer instructions to performing this proceedure, and all make reference to a diagnostic scan tool, what is this scan tool and how do you get one. Any info would be great.

If you loosen the IP you can change the timing. 1mm toward driverside is 2 deg. advance. 1mm toward passengerside is 2 deg. retard. Think timing reference mark.

Simply moving the pump has zero effect on timing the electronic trucks only that you could move beyond the limits of the stepper motor....

Where is the advantage (advance or retard). The factory spec calls for -.25 thru -.75. the people claiming this is a benificial change run from -1.3 thru -1.9. Is this adjustment worth the $100 to have the dealer diagnose my TDC offset.
